STAR 98.3 is thrilled to announce Socktober, a month-long event dedicated to collecting socks for those in need. Throughout October, STAR 98.3, in partnership with AirVantage Heating and Cooling, will be hosting a sock drive to support local charities Ruth & Naomi’s Mission in Chilliwack and Cyrus Centre in Abbotsford.

Donations can be made at the following locations with more to be added:

• WEEKDAYS 10am – 3pm | STAR 98.3 – 45793 Luckakuck Way, Chilliwack
• WEEKDAYS 8am – 4:30pm | AirVantage Heating & Cooling – 6A-3095 McCallum Rd, Abbotsford
• SATURDAY OCTOBER 6 10am – 2pm | Mark’s Chilliwack – 45737 Luckakuck Way, Chilliwack
• SATURDAY OCTOBER 19 10am – 2pm | Mark’s Abbotsford – 34530 McConnell Rd, Abbotsford

Socktober is designed to provide warmth and comfort to individuals who are facing hardships. The campaign encourages community members to contribute new socks, which will be collected at various drop-off points throughout the city. These donations will then be distributed to Ruth & Naomi’s and Cyrus Centre, organizations known for their commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.
