Chilliwack:  On January 31, 2018 at approximately 6:00 am Chilliwack RCMP was called to a house in the 9200-block of Broadway Street after receiving reports of shots fired.  Officers arrived at the address where they located a male with life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries.

 

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time.  The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with Chilliwack RCMP.

 

Police are currently in the early evidence gathering phase of their investigation and believe the incident was targeted. No further information will be provided at this time.  Further information will be handled by the IHIT Media Relations Officer.
