STAR 98.3 Cruiser Weekend Wrap-Up

The STAR 98.3 Cruiser, powered by Mertin Nissan, had a busy and fun-filled weekend in the Fraser Valley, visiting the Run for Mom, Agassiz Speedway, and our Cash In A Flash secret location.

The weekend kicked off early on a sunny Saturday morning with the Run for Mom at Canada education park. Participants ran distances of 10km, 5km, and 1km to raise money for the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation and in support of programs for women and children.

The STAR Cruiser was right off to the Agassiz Speedway for “STAR 98.3 Family Night” in the evening. Fans of auto racing were treated to a night of some nail-biting races, tightly contested finishes, blinding speeds, and even a few notable crashes. The STAR Cruiser made its debut as a trophy car, participating in the awards ceremony at the end of the night and even getting some driving time on the racetrack!

The STAR 98.3 Cruiser wrapped the weekend up with the “Cash in a Flash” contest, brought to you by the Prospera Credit Union. This weekend’s secret location was Kinsmen Park on Portage. Listeners have been collecting clues all week to lead them to our secret location where they received a promo code to enter to win $2500. Listeners also won a combined $250 dollars in instant cash prizes, which they received by showing up to the secret location.
