FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 19, 2024

At approximately 5:30 this morning the Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire in a semi-detached carport of an apartment complex in the 9000 block of Edward St.

Thirty-seven firefighters responded from Halls 1, 4 and 6 and on arrival, reported heavy fire and smoke venting from three fully involved vehicles in the carport, with fire extending up into the semi-detached six-unit apartment complex.
