RACE OVERVIEW:
A fun, fall community event for everyone. This scenic loop course boasts a fast and flat gravel terrain and winding single-track sections. Set along the majestic Vedder River in Chilliwack, BC, this fantastic half marathon loop around the Vedder Rotary Loop Trail is characterized by the breathtaking backdrop of the Chilliwack River Valley and views of Vedder Mountain and the Cascade Mountain Range.

RACE BACKGROUND:
Loop the Vedder Half Marathon & 10km run is Chilliwack’s first (and only) event navigating the full Vedder Rotary Loop Trail. This event is a locally managed and annual run now in it’s 4th consecutive year. A successful and historic in-person run was even hosted in 2020 in COVID friendly style!

COMMUNITY SUPPORTING COMMUNITY:
Peaks-N-Valleys is about community and for community. We believe that we are stronger working together. It is our vision to support the growth of inclusive,
strong, healthy and mindful communities through active learning and recreation in the outdoors. Chilliwack is rich in history and culture, as well as spectacular natural splendor for all to share. A portion of each race registration goes directly back to community trail and outdoor youth initiatives. Our partnering organization for Loop the Vedder Trail Half Marathon & 10km is the Chilliwack Park Society (www.chilliwackparksociety.ca).

• A locally organized race with 75% of participants residing within 40km of Chilliwack
• Runner registrations: 28% Male, 72% Female
• Age range: < 18 (2%) 18-29 (11%), 30-39 (40%), 40-49 (25%), 50+ (22%)
• Average number of runners / year: 375, volunteers: 75, spectators
