Chilliwack’s Early French Immersion program has had a successful first year and a half. The district is already getting set for year three. Superintendent Evelyn Novak says applications are being taken from until Friday, and then a lottery system will be used to see who gets in. She says there’s a reason they’re doing this so early.

“Certainly for the parents who were on that wait list last year it was uncomfortable.  We understand it’s a stressful, anxious time, if they want their children in the program and they’re waiting to find out.  But so far we’ve been able to accommodate all parents.”

The program runs for Kindergarten and Grade One students at Cheam Elementary.  You can go HERE to apply.
