Scott & Lisa's SPCA Pet of the Week

Today we heard about Gemma. She was surrendered to the SPCA after a home visit, investigating her living arrangements.

Originally, Gemma was very scared of people and new surroundings. She has made great progress while in the care of shelter staff and volunteers. She is very intelligent and responds well to treats and positive reinforcement.

Gemma is about 1 year old, mainly German Shepherd. She hasn’t spent much time indoors or in cars, so the SPCA staff has been working on that with her.  She would probably do well in a home with another dog who is  calm and well adjusted.
