Abbotsford Police Department’s Major Crime Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit make arrests related to significant investigations.

In late 2022, the Abbotsford Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit initiated an investigation into the drug trafficking behaviours of two individuals identified as Anmol SANDHU and Navdeep DHALIWAL of Abbotsford, BC.

The investigation culminated in the execution of multiple search warrants in Abbotsford and Surrey which resulted in the identification of evidence supporting charges under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

As that investigation progressed, officers identified additional evidence that led to the AbbyPD Major Crime Unit initiating another investigation dubbed “Project High Table”.

“Project High Table” focused on individuals’ who investigators believed may be conspiring to commit murder.

Over several months of investigation, officers identified evidence that 34-year-old Gavinder SIEKHAM was conspiring with 26 year-old Anmol SANDHU and 26 year-old Navdeep DHALIWAL to murder rival gang members who are all active within the ongoing and brutal BC Gang Conflict.

On Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, all three of these individuals were arrested and are facing two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Murder under the Criminal Code. They remain in custody.

Mr.SANDHU and Mr.DHALIWAL have been charged with trafficking offences pursuant to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.

These offences are connected to the ongoing BC Gang conflict. Additional investigations remain active. To protect the integrity of those ongoing investigations we will not be providing additional detail at this time.
