Good mental health isn’t about being happy all the time. In fact, it’s about the full range of human emotions.  Allowing ourselves to recognize, express and deal with our emotions (the ones we like…and the ones we don’t), is important for our mental health!

This Mental Health Week (May 3rd – May 9th), don’t be uncomfortably numb. #GetReal about how you feel.

Our friend Serena Ryder has been on a journey through her own mental health and it was that journey that she turned into her new album, “The Art of Falling Apart”.  Serena connected with Adele from CHYM 96.7 in Kitchener and Adele & Ryan weeknights on STAR 98.3 to have a real conversation about all of it.

Happy? Frustrated? Glad? Sad? It’s all good. Heavy feelings lighten when you put them into words and Serena Ryder allowed herself to be in the “emotional moment” as a way of self-healing, which is beautifully represented in her new single, “Better Now”
