From the Cultus Lake Golf Club:

It comes with great excitement to announce our newest team member, PGA of Canada Class “A” professional Brad Clapp, who has accepted the position as our Director of Golf!  Many know him as a key person in the golf industry who played golf professionally for 4 years. We look forward to the many ideas, improvements and level of service Brad will bring to Cultus Lake in 2019.

 

Brad has been in the golf industry since he was 12 years old picking the driving range and cleaning clubs at the Chilliwack Golf Club. After working at golf courses and competing in local junior events during high school, Brad graduated and enrolled in the Professional Golf Management program at Camosun College in Victoria. During this 3 year program Brad competed on the golf teamwhere he won multiple provincial and national CCAA awards thru his play. He was also employed as Technical representative with Callaway Golf during this time. Brad Graduated Camosun College in 2008 with a Business Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Golf Management.

After graduation Brad took an Assistant Professional job at Sun Rivers Golf Resort in Kamloops BC. During these 4 years Brad started coaching golf as well as ran the junior program and hosted Ladies Nights. In 2012 Brad moved back to Chilliwack and co-founded the Chilliwack Golf Academy. A year round coaching facility designed to develop basic golf skills and high level golfing athletes. Brad grew his clientele at the Chilliwack Golf Academy until 2018. During his employment at both facilities Brad competed locally and nationally in the PGA of Canada club professional events becoming one of the top playing professional in the association

In 2014 Brad earned fully exempt status on the PGA Tour Canada and started to play professionally full time from 2014 till 2017. In that time he recorded 4 – top 10 finishes including a win at the 2015 Great Waterway Classic on the Mackenzie Tour.

Brads unique and diverse background is a perfect fit at Cultus Lake Golf Club and he is excited to add to an already great facility.

  • Graduated Camosun with a 3 year diploma in Professional Golf Management
