UFV receives federal research grant money

The University of the Fraser Valley has received $570,000 in research grants from the federal government.

Abbotsford MP says the government is excited to help support some of the brightest minds in the academic world.

“It recognizes UFV as having significant research capacity and we want to continue to develop the potential of UFV as being a leading research university.”

The grants are going to Dr. Noham Weinberg from the Chemistry department, Dr. Zina Lee from the School of Criminology, and Dr. Adrienne Chan from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
