Liberal candidate says undecideds are key in wake of slumping Conservative support

Chilliwack-Hope Liberal candidate Louis De Jaeger says the federal election will come down to personality against personality, and which candidate can best bring their party message to the people.

The latest poll shows a decline in Conservative support, but De Jaeger says the real key is swaying the undecided, which he says are about 29% of voters.

“And most of those people are really saying “we’re waiting for more from the Liberals, we want to see what else is coming out.” And we can slowly see that Mr Trudeau is letting that information out and we’re hoping and we’re concentrating on those undecideds to really push us over.”

De Jaeger says he thinks many people in the riding are disappointed in current MP Mark Strahl and says he hasn’t really proven himself in any way.
