Chilliwack ChiefsThe third round of the BCHL playoffs begin on Wednesday, with a three team round double round robin format.

The Chilliwack Chiefs have been off since last Tuesday and don’t play till Friday, while Nanaimo and Penticton both went 7 games in the last series.

Chiefs coach Jason Tatarnic says he likes having the rest.

“We’ve had some guys banged up. It gives Rory Bell and Brandon Potomak and Vincent Desharnais more time to get ready for that Friday night’s game. And then actually I really like the travel schedule for us. Nanaimo has to play in Penticton on Wednesday. It’s over a seven hour drive, then they have to get back home on Friday to play us.”

The Chiefs are on the road in Nanaimo Friday night and will host Penticton at Prospera Centre on Sunday.  They will play in Penticton next Tuesday.
